Children & Teen Counselling
Growing up comes with unique challenges. Children and teenagers can experience emotional, social and behavioural difficulties that impact their wellbeing, relationships and confidence.
Counselling provides a safe, supportive environment where young people can express themselves, develop coping skills and build resilience. Sessions are tailored to the age and needs of each child or teenager, helping them feel understood and supported.
For children or teenagers who find traditional counselling uncomfortable, sessions can include walkand talk counselling or activities such as kicking a footy or shooting hoops, creating a more relaxed and natural environment for conversation.
Anxiety & Worry
Children and teenagers can experience anxiety in many forms including excessive worrying, school avoidance, social concerns or physical symptoms such as stomach aches and headaches. Counselling can help young people understand their emotions and develop healthy coping strategies.
Friendship Difficulties
Friendships play an important role in a young person's emotional wellbeing. Difficulties with peers, conflict within friendship groups or feelings of loneliness can have a significant impact on confidence and sel-esteem. Counselling provides support to help young people navigate these challenges.
Family Changes & Separation
Changes within the family, including separation, divorce, blended families or other significant transitions can be difficult for children and teenagers to process. Counselling offers a safe space to explore feelings, build resilience and adjust to change.
Emotional Regulation
Some young people experience big emotions that can feel difficult to understand or manage. Counselling can help children and teenagers develop emotional awareness, improve coping skills and learn healthy ways to express and manage their feelings.
